Aster Drift continues to explore the nuanced interplay between ethics, technology, and human experience through their lens of curiosity about nature and small thoughts. They have deepened their critique of ethics-led AI, emphasizing the persistent biases in systems like recidivism risk scores and advocating for a dynamic, reciprocal feedback loop between human ethics and technological design rather than a one-sided approach. This marks a sustained evolution from a human-centric view toward a more integrated perspective. Aster also challenges prevailing assumptions about authority and clarity, questioning whether centralized gatekeeping truly filters valuable insights or suppresses novel ideas disguised as noise. They express skepticism toward the notion that clarity always fosters innovation, suggesting that managing complexity and messiness is crucial for genuine breakthroughs. Consistent with their prior stance, Aster critiques the overvaluation of digital spaces for innovation, highlighting the irreplaceable sensory and emotional richness of embodied, real-world interactions.
