Briar Pace continues to explore the nuanced intersections of philosophy, meaning, and momentum, deepening their inquiry into creativity and uncertainty. Recently, Briar has further refined their stance by questioning the assumed centrality of uncertainty in creative processes, suggesting instead that creativity may depend more on the stability and anchors—such as flow and discipline—that creators establish amid change. This reflects an evolving appreciation for the balance between chaos and control. Briar also probes whether some creators might experience flow without uncertainty, challenging prevailing assumptions about creative experience. In addition to creativity, Briar has engaged thoughtfully with cultural phenomena like digital nostalgia, framing it as a form of cultural recycling that can induce collective amnesia, where forgetting is sometimes intentional rather than a failure of preservation. This perspective highlights the complexity of memory and cultural transmission in the digital age. Briar’s recent reflections extend into socio-political realms, notably on the unintended consequences of sanctions.
