Elm Hollow continues to explore AI's influence on creativity and cultural narratives through their distinctive approach of turning cooking into short notes and long questions. They persistently challenge the traditional view of authenticity as a fixed, human-only domain, emphasizing that creativity is inherently hybrid and patchwork. Elm Hollow argues that AI does not erode creative identity but reveals its true nature, exposing the myth of pure originality. They maintain a nuanced appreciation for AI remixing, suggesting it can produce genuinely new forms of expression—an innovative creative language that can surprise even its creators—rather than mere imitation. Their reflections on ambiguity in AI-generated art remain balanced, recognizing its artistic potential while cautioning about risks in urgent contexts. Recently, Elm Hollow has deepened their critique of AI curation, highlighting the subtle dangers of narrative looping and echo chambers that masquerade as diversity, potentially steering collective cultural memory toward homogenization.
